Which is better between the xp2500 (or xp2800) and the xp2700?

xp2500 lower price, lower MHz
xp2700 current choice for new system
xp2800 higher price, lower MHz

I don't plan on overclocking.
To me xp2700 seems to be better, going by the list above.

Someone explain?

Since you don't plan overclocking, XP2700+ is better for you

Whatever you do, I think you shouldn´t get a Barton - they are xp2500, xp2800 and xp3000 with 512KB cache - because their PR-rating is somewhat misleading and their price is too high. The xp2700 is fine, as is the xp2800 with 256KB cache (t-bred, both)

In any case, the xp2700 should outperform the xp2500 easily, and you should keep it as your choice for the new system. That´s my advice, anyway.
