Cannot open my laptop today, doesn't accept my password.

Hello, Have an IBM/Lenovo Windows 7 laptop. Cannot log into the system today. Does not accept my password. I don't have a media CD to access the key and wonder how to get in. It doesn't prompt me for an administrator's ID and password.
