Poor widdle Angel is afraid to break her notebook. 
I turned it off and evidently it seems to shut down, so my computer was left on for the night. Well... it still works. Besides, you still have a 3 year wanteree on it, put it to good use.
It should have a powersave mode if you're not using it, so it will 'sleep' and won't generate a lot of heat. It'll be fine.
My CPU runs so hot it creates a quark-gluon plasma
