Game Crashes / Hard Restart

I can not play Zoo Tycoon or Roller Coaster Tycoon on my
system (Win2K, SP4). At randon intervals of game play (2-
30 minutes) the computer shuts down and reboots, or blue
screens with a "Kernal Stop" message
