Better than original?

No speculation, either. Let's see some facts for once.

He has the original codes for the artwork

the new playfields will be 10 years newer

better clearcoat application

WMS just wanted to rush the stuff out

They knew nothing of a collectors market

Also, Wayne will have the ability to fix the outhole that was done so
poorly in the originals

YES, better than the originals

for CHEAP money

What type of plywood will be used? The animals aren't the only thing
differant down under.

How is he going to "fix" the outhole?

Seems that re-designing the scoop is what would be needed for that, not
the hole in the playfield.

>He has the original codes for the artwork

"codes?" WTF is a code?
do you mean silk screens? I thought Gene had those.

>the new playfields will be 10 years newer

This matters how?

>better clearcoat application

If he chooses to do so. We have no indication that he will.

>Also, Wayne will have the ability to fix the outhole that was done so
>poorly in the originals

Outhole? you mean scoop wear area?

Again, you have no proof of the following other than speculation:

1- wayne will produce MB pfs
2- he will improve the design
3- what the cost will be

Remember, I said NO spectulation.

>for CHEAP money

Maybe cheaper than what NOS goes for now, but you make it seem like a
PF repo is like hitting "print" on a PF program. Just look at how much
time and effort the Fathom guys had to put into one PF. You are giving
wayne a little too much slack, me thinks.

Hello:

Why is it so important for you guys that MB playfields sell for $1500?

Wouldn't you rather see people be able to pick them up for under $500?

And since when was WMS so darn concerned with QC? I have purchased 3
NOS WMS playfields over the past year and all of them had MAJOR issues

Major issues ...

Wayne paid $600,000 for the WMS rights (we think)

His first 4 playfields have to be perfect or it is going kill his
reputation

the first four are

MB
FH
MM
and ATFM

Why would the guy go to all this bother and then produce garbage, when
he has everything needed to produce a perfect reproduction product?

I would bet on his playfields

Him making entire NEW machines is a whole seperate kettle of fish

My whole point is that you are telling a guy to wait 4 months to buy a
playfield because of your speculations. You have no facts. You have no
proof. PF's may come out like crazy on Oct 1, but until we know
something for sure I would quit trying to tell people something like it
is fact when it is nothing but your typical opinion.

Wouldn't it be better if we knew that you will ACTUALLY be able to buy
a PF for the $$ you speak of? Speculating on PFs does not make PFs
happen. Telling someone to wait 4 months could really lead to
6...12...never. You don't know for sure as usual.

People would love to buy cheap parts, but you come off like it is 100%
for sure when, in fact, it is not.

What makes you think he won't have the same troubles as Gene did with
TAF?

>I have purchased 3 NOS WMS playfields over the >past year and all of them had MAJOR issues

Be specific. What issues?
I've seen many NOS PFs with flaws....because they were rejects from the
original game run.

I have facts

Wayne told me and a lot of the other key players in the industry

He paid $600,000

Wayne is not a multi-billionaire

He has to make the investment work or he LOSES

There are other unknowns as well. Do the environmental laws down under
allow them to use the paints and clear coats that will last? Or will
they be like USA house paints that are poorer quality than they used
to be due to environmental regulations? Will the insert glue be better
or worse than what WMS used? What about plywood resins? What species
of wood will the plywood be made of? Will it shrink or expand
excessively causing cracking? We know what to expect from an NOS
playfield, any repros are complete unknowns. Mistakes are bound to be
made ramping up a new manufacturing process, no matter the product.
Repros could be as good or better than NOS, but you won't know for
sure until a track record has been established.

Kirb,

All I am saying, is that before someone flushes $1500 for an all-hype
NOS playfield, maybe they should wait and see what Wayne comes up with

The answers are going to be right there in only 4 months

You gave the guy absolutes about MB pfs being done in 4 months.

Now you say to "wait and see"

That was my point all along. Your posts are misleading to people.

That anything you state is factual.
Do you need help remembering even when someone includes a copy of the
previous post in the reply?

Send a very nice email to Wayne and maybe he will answer you like he

My good friend Dave Fama has a NOS MB playfield.

It was clear coated by Bill Davis about 2 years ago. I've seen it and
it's beautiful. It is fully dimpled on the back w/ all the T-nuts and
holes drilled. He told me he wanted $2200 or best offer.

If you're interested, shoot me an e-mail and I'll forward it to him.

Thanks Kerry

Lloyd,

ya right, Wayne paid $600,000 to WMS to produce nothing

or to produce garbage ...

ya right ...

Wayne needs to make good product to pay for the WMS deal

I don't think anyone is doubting that you are repeating what you were told
on this issue. I think they are doubting what will actually *happen*.

>Wayne needs to make good product to pay for the WMS deal

Remember the last time he gave you bad info so you could run to RGP and
spout it? He lead you around by your nose and you fell for it.

That was entertainment for everyone.

Do I think there is a market for MB playfields- yes
Do I think Wayne will try making them- yes
Do I think they will be better than NOS- no
Do I think it will happen in 4 months- never.
Do I think Wayne paid $600k- don't care

That is all spectulation that is NOT claimed as fact.
