I'm new to Linux & have Redhat 7.3 currently installed. I can't quite figure out how to setup my Audigy sound card. I think I downloaded the correct driver for it: emu10k1-v0.19a.tar.bz2

When I run the file, all that happens is another window opens up. Now what do I do? Please dumb down any help offered. Otherwise it will justfly over my head :)

Cheers,

Firstly, you need to extract it - not run it, using:
tar -jxf emu10k1-v0.19a.tar.bz2

then check this document. You'll need your kernel sources to compile it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that's the right driver. I know the EMU 10K1 chip is the one in the Live! series of cards...
