Ps3 loading

Hello,
could you help me please
Was playing on my ps3 the other day working fine updated console through wi-fi so far so good then did a system shut down next day when i switch on console green light comes on but no title screen iv'e checked hdmi leads all are ok t.v picking them up screen just blank
any suggestions I.e(do i need to replace my hdd or is there another way of doing things to get back to normal systems running )

its ok now after all this time figured out it was after all hdmi cables now using av r.g.b cables not as good as hdmi but hey i'm bk on
