I get to WU page fine. There are 8 critical updates there. When I go to
download them and install when the install/download screen opens it freezes
right there.
Just started happening. Using WinXP Home SP2
I have to use end task in task manager to get out of it.

Did you disable your anti virus' auto scan before proceeding?

All Windows/Microsoft/Automatic Updates do is add an additional layer of
BS that can screw up during the patching process. With the addition of
WGA, that adds yet another layer of totally worthless code that can f*#k
up the patching process of Windows/Microsoft Update.
