Hello,

We had a scheduled power shutdown of our plant and I sent a company wide email saying for everyone to shutdown their computers at the end of their shift.

Well, our HR person forgot and left her outlook 2010 open. The next day she said none of her emails from yesterday were available.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

Scott Lucas

Hi,

What do you mean
The next day she said none of her emails from yesterday were available.

The email are not there?
The email cannot be access? (they are there but no message in mail, cannot open them, you get an error message?)

Even outlook is opened and the computer closes, it wouldn't affect receiving the mail. Unless their is a shutdown wile outlook is receiving mail (this could corrupt outlook)

Also outlook retrieves email every so often, you can change that in options,

Go to File > Options > Advanced

Scroll down to 'Send and receive' and click on the 'Send/Receive..." button.
You can schedule your automatic send/receive time there.

hop it helps
