My Packard Bell Easynote TS will not power on, the power indicator flashes blue 5 times. It is two weeks old and has a fully charged battery.

If the unit is 2 weeks old, take it back to the store you purchased it at, and exchange it.

Thanks for getting back to me. I think it is something basic that I am doing wrong and would rather try and put it right than return it Any other suggestions welcome, thank you.

Well, basic troubleshooting would be the following:
Make sure the power supply is getting power from the wall outlet.
Remove the battery from the unit, leave it for 15 minutes, and try it again
Hold the power button for 5 seconds, in attempt to reset the power switch

That's about all you can do with notebooks.
