I notice this Nforce2 board has another power supply connecter under the ATX connector, its the 4 pins arranged in a square called the "jpw1" connector. It "supplys power to the CPU"

Anyways, Ive been using a 230w power supply that did not have a jpw1 connector to plug into that spot, so I just had the atx connector connected. Everything worked fine, I think... Well system hangups but Im not suspecting that for various reasons...

Anyways Im now on a 400W power supply, and this PSU has the jpw1 connector. Should I connect it? What difference does it even make?

If your MB has the connector it is probably there for a reason.
