1_What is your budget?
Around 1000$

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
The screen size is not very important to me because most likely I will be hooking it up to my 24 inch moniter that is 1920x1200

3_What screen resolution do you want?

See above

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

I am replacing my desktop

5_How much battery life do you need?

Not a priority

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Gaming will be one of the main things I do. I want to be able to run WoW on high at a high fps as well as be able to play starcraft2 and diablo 3 when they come out on medium-high

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)

Video games and internet, movies sometimes

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

At least 320

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

Bluray would be nice but I don't want to pay a whole lot extra for it

I've done a little research and ASUS looks good but I am open to anything

Oh and DELL lunched the ALIENWARE M11X gaming laptop with 11 inch screen ,, it's price 1000$

you have said above that you don't care about the screen size cuz you want to connect another display

So it will be suitable for you
it's more than portable

Hmm that alienware looks sexy, I would just be mad if I waited another month and it got bad reviews and sucked. Plus 11 inch is getting a little small for when I am not at my desk... Still though, its under 1000. How do you think it would fare on upcoming games like starcraft 2 and diablo 3? (crystal ball?)

Because it have NVIDIA GT 335M and can attain 50 FPS in CRYSIS , and we all know that CRYSIS game is a system killer ,

So 50 FPS is a good score in crysis game

Finally everything is up to you :)

Wait till February; it’s the time of year where new lines of products are coming out. Coming to you soon is lots of laptops with ATI's new 5 series gpus(or updated Nividia) and Intels next-gen mobile CPU, Arrandale.
