All the files and the data on my usb thumb drive, but it is still their, I can even copy it to a new file. All the data says it is there, but it is still invisible. I have run Norton 360, and Mal-ware bytes, no effect. I am running sys 7 pro 64 bit on a Toshiba satellite

Press Alt on your keyboard and you should see a new menu bar open containing, File Edit etc, go to tools on this new toolbar then folder options.

Then the view tab, then check the circle that says "Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives." Hit apply then Okay.

Open your thumb drive highlight the contents, right click and go to properties, then uncheck the hidden box as shown below.

Thanks, I retrieved the files, but I could not uncheck the hidden box. They remained as an "ghost box" and could not be changed. But I managed to copy the files to a new folder on my computer, then I formated my thumb drive and copied the file back into it. Now everything works.
