With the heatsink clip on backwards from the factory! How do I know the factory did it? Because the thermal interface material was set at an ackward angle and only half the die had ever touched it! Oh, I had to replace the CPU...and put the heatsink on the right way, with new pasted of course.

I don't know how it outlived it's warranty, I guess Dell got lucky.

dells are actually ok once you wipe the hdd do a clean install put decent software on it upgrade the ram and put in a decent graphics card..

I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message.

Yeah, they're pretty good once you replace all of the original Dell hardware in them, including the PS and case.
