Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

It will take 8Gb and in a Windows 7 system it will make a difference but 4Gb should be adequate. Here's the specification from Crucial's website and they want around $45 for it. You're probably looking at half that for the 4Gb upgrade but be careful on e-Bay or similar to ensure you get only what's printed below.

8GB Kit (4GBx2)
DDR3 PC3-10600 • CL=9 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1333 • 1.35V • 512Meg x 64 • • Part #: CT2675171

Alternatively, go to your country's local site of http://www.crucial.com and take the online scan - the ActiveX object is safe and harmless - and get your own local price.
