Changing CPU process priority

Will my games or programs run faster if I change the CPU process priority to HIGH or Realtime?

  1. I doubt you will notice any difference. If you do, it will be very small!
  2. Only if there's another program running that's seriously hogging the CPU. The process priority is only for deciding who gets some action when the CPU is maxed out. If it's not then priority is not an issue because all processes get as much as they need. The label "Realtime" is meaningless except in as much as it's higher than those below it.
