Over the past two months, I've gone from a Duron 1.1, to a Tbird 1.2, and now I'm running a 2100+T-Bred...all with the same Volcano 7 HSF. I'ts not the Volcano 7+. On the box it said for up to Athlon XP 1800+, so I'm kinda paranoid. Maybe at the time Thermaltake made these the 1800+ was the fastest thing out there?. I scraped off the thermal pad and used arctic silver, because I thoght I should, but the fact that the HSF packaging didnt have a recomendation for my Athlon has me a little worried. Under load my bios and Sandra are reporting 42 degree's celsius. 36 degree's is where it sit's normally...should I gaet a different HSF?

No worry mate, Volcano 7 can officially handle AMD CPU up to 2100+ (beyond that is for Volcano 7+ and 9). But if you are keen on overclocking you better get a better HSF.

You never know how stupid you are until you have done something stupid enough for you to realize it.

THose temps look OK. Don't even think about worrying until the temps hit 55 at idle.

The aim of military training is not just to prepare men for battle, but to make them long for it. <A HREF="http://forums.btvillarin.com/index.php?act=ST&f=41&t=327&s" target="_new"><b>MY SYSTEM</b></A>

Thanx you guy's....I dont plan on overclocking because I'm running an ECS K7S5A, with factory bios, I'm probably better off...
