Erm... Just bought one, and the subject says it all really. I seem to recall seeing someone say that they are unlocked whatever mobo you use.

if you're wondering, I have an Asus A7V333-RAID, but I'll probably get a Nforce2 mobo in a couple months or so.

Hi... Im not sure about the A7V333 but, I do belive that it is unlocked with the NForce 2. Which mobo are you going with? Take care.

I'm gonna try shoving it in my A7V333 for the time being. I don't really care about the multiplier at the moment - the A7V333 has a reasonable selection of FSB options, and I'm happy to wait for my Nforce2 before I start really fiddling with stuff.

As far as which mobo I'm going with, I'll assume you mean which Nforce2 mobo I was thinking of, and I was thinking the EPox 8RDA+, because of price & OC'ing options. The Asus A7n8X Deluxe looks good, but I've read too many horror stories on these forums to take the chance...

Besides, how many more features does the Asus A7N8X Deluxe give you that the Epox 8RDA+ doesn't?

Yes, if you update the BIOS on the A7V333 it will be unlocked from 13.0 going up by increments of .5 .

Unfortunately, getting the lower multipliers would require some bridge modding, so in that case pick up an nForce2.

That depends on the processor. 1700+ - 2000+ already have the lower default multiplier ranges 2100+ -> (I think its the 2100+) have the higher multipliers as you stated.

Yeah, I need to update the BIOS anyways, as I found out when I got home last nite that I can't get a VCore Below about 1.74 on the stupid thing, even if I select lower in the BIOS. (BIOS H/W Monitor seems to fluctuate between 1.72 and 1.74 contantly)

Any suggestions for which BIOS version to upgrade to? I forgot to note which revision it's currently on tho, although it'll be an early one as I bought the board just after they were released.
