Need New Laptop

hello, i am advising a friend on a laptop to choose, and it needs to be:
1. very fast, gaming grade
2. atleast 4 gigs of ram, but preferably 6 gigs of fast ram (no 800 MHz)
3. HD display, and the bigger the better
4.really good vid card, atleast a 260
5.has to be cool looking ( )
6. under 1800$

just wondering if thats a real 360, if it is worth the price, and if there is anything better for the price. he got a free ssd from intel (lucky sob) so he doesnt need one built in. thanks

Thats a great laptop and meets all of the requirements you said. But check out some alienware laptops.

lol my friend was dieing to get an alienware, i told them they were overpriced, a laptop that wasnt even as good as that cost 2300$, so nah. is that a true 360 though?

What do you mean by true? Do you mean is it a Fermi/GT100 based card? No, it's a rebadged GT215 card. Performance should be around what the current GTS 260M is. You'd probably be better off buying one of the Asus G series with an i7 and GTX 260M.

Asus

They sell great laptops with 2 years grantee (best grantee in the market ) and they are solid, fast and about same price than any other brand.

Both Jack and I tried suggesting those earlier and were shot down. To meet the specs he wants they go outside of the price his friend is willing to pay.

right, and a 5870 beats a 280 in laptop world, and is more than enough probs. the i7, how high can it oc and remain 4 core
