I have Tungsten T3, Windows XP. I use Outlook for sync to contacts,
calendar, etc.
Just the other night I had Palm Desktop open. Tonight I cannot open it and
I also cannot find the file PALM.EXE. However I do now have
PALM.EXE.MANIFEST where the old PALM.EXE used to be. Can I just remove the
'MANIFEST" extension to make the desktop appear?

No, a manifest file is merely an XML file that Windows XP uses to apply special
effects to the user interfaces of older programs. The name is always in the form
AppName.exe.manifest.
