Buying Used Backup Batteries?

I'm planing on checking out sources like ebay or craigslist for a Back up battery for my PC set up and was wondering if you guys had any tips for me to look for. Or should I just spend the extra money and buy a completely new one? about a $50 difference from retail which is around $120 or so. My psu is a corsair tx650w btw

I would spend on a new one. You always run the risk of buying a battery that has already retained a memory, and getting stuck with a bad unit. Unless a battery is new in the package, i'd never buy used.
