I'd buy LG first everytime. SAMSUNG Laptops ARE CRAP. And if you ar one minute late outside the guarantee period the would NOT listen to A Word you say. SAMSUNG'S customer services is even MORE CRAP.

    In most jurisdictions a "Consumer Durable" such as a computer should be Durable -- and that means much more than 12 months under most consumer laws.

    As for LG vs Samsung -- both are large bland and arrogant Korean corporations. Of the two Samsung have a better take on the consumer market and seem to be on a roll technically at the moment.

    You might take up your issues with the Samsung staff who work the CNET forum dedicated to their products -- if you raise enough stink there you might embarrass them.
