I installed Halo from the same CD as my husband. I didn't
think this was 'wrong' since we need the CD in the drive
in order to play the game.
I just tried a multiplayer game over our LAN connection
and it said Invalid CD Key. I called Microsoft Support
and although they said 'there's nothing wrong with
installing using the same CD' (we can play over the
internet) we just can't play with each other. I am
supposed to buy TWO CD's if I want to do this!! What a
rip off!! What if I had 6 kids and wanted to play with
them? I'd have to pay Microsoft SIX times for one game??
Can't Bill afford to let a family of two play with one
purchase? I'm not quite a rich as he and really can't
afford to pay double. But I am a SQL server DBA
supportnig his products for a living....
The support person said there's a way around it but it
would be 'wrong' if he told me how. So if anyone knows a
way, please let me know!
