Can a SATA blu ray burner be used in a Dell Dimension 8250

I own a Dimension 8250 running a fully updated version of Windows XP.. I'd like to replace one of my old CD drives with an internal Blu ray player. All the internal burners I've found are SATA, but the 8250 was built before that configuration was popular.

Is there a way to utilize the internal SATA Blu ray burner on my computer?

If you have an extra PCI slot, then I think you can get a SATA controller card and hook the burner up to that. The cards are as low as $15 on the big sites. Hope this helps.
