Hello, im about to sell my A7M266-D, which I have used with two Athlon XP 1800 (the "brown" processor, forgot its name), but before I sell it, I need to know if the newest XP (the "green" ones), will works in SMP too.
Thanks a lot.

i had serious considered the mobo when i was upgrading my system, but the AMD tech guy i communicated with told me i would have to use 2 Athlon MP (not Athlon XP) processors for Dual processing. He had also told me XP does not work in Dual Processing. Was the tech guy plain ignorant or what he said is true?

technically most dont...
But realistically just about all of them can work in SMP, provided you change the bridge that allows SMP operation.

Yeah, you will have to modify the bridges of the CPU to get them to work in Dual mode. Alternatively, there's some affordable Athlon MP's.

It'd really suck to get an XP that doesn't work in SMP even after the bridge change. **LOL**
