Hibernation and network weird problems...pls help

Thanks for the interest in helping.

Out of the blue I started to have two problems that maybe connected or not.

- after computers comes back from hibernation, I can't acess the internet. And it doesn'r seem that I can't access the network, cause when I run ipconfig in DOS it show the router, but doesn't show the internet connection

If i restart, everything starts to work again

but
- after turning on, restarting or hibernation (all ocassions), when I try to see my network connection in control panel, there is nothing there. ZERO. Like if I had no network connection. Even though I can be connected to the internet through my router. It just now show the network connections.

PS. there is something new happening since I started having both problems. After hibernation, I never needed to click in my user name (in windows XP blue start screen) to log-in, It wouldl always automatically go to my desktop directly. Now it always go that screen where you have to choose the user (you know the frog icon or other).

I have a inspiron 8100, running win xp, 521 ram, 30gb hd.To try to solve the problem I already took everything out from my windows start, and turned off some services. nothing worked.
