I have an xp2500 oclocked to 2.25 ghz. When i run wcpuid it says there are two 64bit L1 caches and one 512 L2 cache full. when i run prime95 it says L1 64 and L2 512. Is this right? Shouldnt it be 128 and 512? Could my overclocking have messed up the barton core cache size?

No, definitely not. However it may be reporting just of the two caches, either the data or instruction L1. It is not a defect, maybe just the program itself having trouble. Dunno about how often it gets updated, but WCPUID does in order to keep track of new CPUs. So, no, I doubt it 99% that you got any messed up cache. Most people have their 2500+ at 2.25GHZ anyways!

I'm not at 2.25. My Barton craps out. I even upgraded the cooling, and im running my fan pretty hard. What are your settings at that speed? I can barely manage 12.5x180, and it locks like there's no tomorrow. What are you memory timings, and voltages, and everything?

DAMMIT, I WANT 2.3!!!

I don't own one, but I know you need good quality HW, and a chip that didn't come out as the black sheep of the group. So you may just have gotten a rare low-yeild one.

You can see what I have below. I didn't skimp. I also have an SLK-800 with AS3 and a Smartfan II at pretty high speed, plus five case fans, and my PS is a 450W enermax.

No cheap shiznit in my system AT ALL!!! The cheapest piece of hardware on my computer is my monitor.

I've got names like Asus, Corsair, Enermax, Thermalright, Thermaltake, I mean, this isn't cheap. GODDAM AMD!!! I'm righteously po'ed if that's the case.

I suppose you should be. But it could very much be your settings not being quite up to the job. Voltage for CPU, RAM, even video card can make a difference, PCI/AGP port clocks as well if they are not locked. RAM clock is also very important, as well as aggressive timings if needed.
