Ok i am working on my moms hp and i have no idea what could be causing the problem, recently she will be playing a game(Spore)he entire pc freezes up and at different points and different times in the game, it has never frozen at the same place twice, also that is the only game she has been playing recently,so idk if it is the game or something with her pc.

Her pc is an HP Pavilion A6519FH(here is a newegg link to it's specs:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883107707)
But i have upgraded the video card to an EVGA 8500GT 256MB

If you need any more info please let me know and i will do my best to get it.

Also thank you guys for any and all help.

P.S. yes it has vista but it's not the reason, cause she has had no with it or vista till recently.

It is at least 4 years old, there are many issues which arise with age that can cause problems like that... A few aftermarket (free) programs may narrow down the issue.
1st program would be memtest found here
http://www.memtest86.com/download.html
then CPU-Z found here
http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/1.60.1-setup-en.exe
then GPU-Z found here
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2120/TechPowerUp_GPU-Z_v0.6.0.html

Starting with memtest, run it for 24hours (if possible) - see what it reports - it may error out or freeze, that's okay, it may come up "clean", that'll be good, post what it says.

I have not tried memtest(i will run it when she gets back from a trip),but i could not get GPU-Z to run it had errors when i tried to run it,and with cpu-z it had most of the fields missing.
