Hello,
Recently my mouse has been experiencing issues. It would shut down and stop working without warning. It is a Dell wired mouse and has no visible issues with the cord. The USB ports are all active and funtionally properly. The BIOS indicated the legacy USB ports were indeed fine and I tried using drivers and devices to fine the mouse, however, it cannot detect it.
Please help, thank you.

It is very common for the mouse cord to become intermittent just where the cord enters the mouse body. I have repaired countless mice by cutting the cable at this point and re-soldering the cable back. You can test this by flexing the cable at this point.
