Hi,
I have an issue since very recently on my PC. I am running XP SP2. When
connected to internet (ASDL) and surfing the net, my connection drops and I
cannot re-connect. I did check out my modem (Linksys) which is working fine.
The end of connection is happening from my PC.
I am running ZoneAlarm Pro as firewall and Kaspersky for antivir, and have
the MS antispyware also running. All these have the latest updates.
Has anybody been facing this? Is their a way to see what stops my internet
connection in XP?

ADSL modem == is this a rental, as part of your DSL service??? Do you have
other telephone devices (phone, modem, answering machine) on the same phone
line? Are the DSL line filters correctly installed onto the other phone
jack, besides the one the ADSL unit is using?
Tyr the following test, if you have other "devices" on the same phone line:
1) Disconnect every phone device from the phone jack. Leave only the ADSL
modem connected.
2) Try your Internet so as to see if your problem returns.

4) Once your problem occurs again, you need to check that phone jack or
phone device.
