Eyetoy Webcam Issue

Hello there, i am trying to use my eyetoy as a webcam and whenever i plug it into my laptop it instantly goes to the blue screen of death. I've installed drivers and stuff. also my laptop is an Acer Travelmate 3230, if that is of any relevance.

I have same problem, but only on one USB port; moving the cam to another port "solved" the problem.
You could try inserting the CAM in the bad USB port before booting the PC, then (if PC boots) go to device manager to remove the driver (didn't test it).
