I called Asus today to find out the release date of their new P4C800 motherboard to support Canterwood chipset (800 FSB). Guy told me they are waiting for release of chipset by Intel, and not date available.

I guess Intel is being very strict about pre-release of any information on this new chipset. Someone actually posted on a Website some benchmarks of the new Asus board, and was then asked to take it down by Asus.

Anyhows, the guy I spoke to at Asus said the new motherboard is a whole different type of board. he did not elaborate, but seemed to almost be cautioning me to "wait and see" what happens and that there may be some interesting things about the board. I do NOT want to speculate there are problems, but I am gonna wait and see before buying to get reviews on board. Asus makes good stuff, but I am just wondering if this a huge leap for everyone and nobody knows really what to expect.

stay tuned i guess..
