Loud pop on speakers after resume from standby

Jeff, while under totally different circumstances, I also had a loud
pop every time I turned my system off. I asked about it on a talk show
and was advised that it was nothing to worry about, it won't harm my
system. That it was just a process that was taking its course. Can't
remember what I did to change things, but weeks down the line the POP
was gone.

Until you get a more definitive answer, I hope this puts your fears to
rest.
