Why cant samsung R510 produce sound?

hi,

my samsung R510 cant play any sound. i have downloaded all sorts of sound drivers but to no success. is there something that i need to do to make it play sound? please help.

What operating system is installed?
Look on the desktop for a speaker icon, double click the icon.
Check all the settings of the audio software. Is the computer volume turned up? Is the mute turned on?
Are you using powered speakers or headphones? What jack are the headphones or powered speakers plugged into?
