I have an Athlon TbredB 1700+ That is a x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 1 processor. Can anyone tell me what that means?

eBay, kick ass!

Sounds like AMD didn't AMD_You quite well now did it!

Hehe, no seriously, as long as it is a Tbred B, you have an excellent overclocker, if not a very cool CPU. The whole model thing is more of the generation, but I am in no informed position to tell what each represents. I only know that Family 6, most likely relates the the 6th generation of x86, since the 7th at the moment, is the P7. (unless I am totally screwing up and K7 is also a 7th generation)
