Yes, thats right...

My CPU was dead and MB damaged, finally after weeks I have a brand new Nforce2 MB and an Athlon 2600. FINALLY my computer boots. Its amazing just to see it boot up, its been so long...

But after it does its tests and whatever, it stops on "Verifying DMI pool data" then 20 seconds later the computer just restarts.....

Anything?

UPDATE:

First I booted with just 2 hard drives, thats where I got this problem. When I plugged in the floppy and cd, it shot right past verifying dmi pool and just restarted, instead of sitting at verifying pool like it did before.

Now, when I booted in safe 100fsb mode, everything worked, and I got into windows. But athlon xp 2600 default 166fsb is where im getting this problem...

You're saying stuff got damaged...do you know the hard drive is good?

Can be a number of things. Bad drive, incorrect BIOS setting, loose cable, corruption, etc.

Have you searched for "Verifying DMI Pool Data" yet? Have you tried anything? If so, what?
