I'm going to be buying the cpu and mobo separately, does either one come with thermal paste, or do i have to buy it separately. If thats the case is all thermal paste created equal?

The cpus will usually come with some paste on the heatsink if you get the combo. Get some arctic silver 3 to use instead. Thats what most people recommend around here

The Heatsink usually comes with a shitty "Thermal Pad." Some people find they are ok, they have about 1/9 the thermal conductivity of AS3. You cannot overclock with a thermal pad, and the only ones that are suitable for standard use are the "Chrometrics" that AMD includes with their bundled HSF.
