Do a system restore to the day before you did the update.

Go to Start-> Computer. Then browse to C: -> Windows -> winsxs and search for "iexplore.exe" (without quotes) in the search box at the top right of the screen. It should find many many different copies, run any of them. It may take a little bit of time to do the search, so please be patient.
