I am a computer eng. student and I am going to buy a laptop.I want a heavy duty laptop.
I hava a choise between 3 laptops and I really really dont know which one to buy, they are almost the same price.

1-The first one is the HP dv6-1340ej + two years warranty.
and here is its specification

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01...

2-The second one is the TOSHIBA a500-1DN + two years warranty. and here is its specification

http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/produ...

3-The third one is the Sony vaio NW240F/B + one years warranty. and here is its specification

http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/sony-vaio-vgn-nw240f/45...

As you can read the HP specification is the highest and the vaio is the lowest.

I read a lot about each laptop and its GOODs and BADs . I found many thing which I need a about:
1-the sony warranty SUCKS , I read that most of the times the company said that they dont cover fixing the error because "it is caused by the user" .
2-the battary life in sony also sucks.
3-HP is not heavy duty device at all.It is offen broken. However its performance seems great.

3-The Toshiba has a heating problem.I am not feeling comfortable to buy a Toshiba laptop I dont know why :S.

hope I can find help here .

More about : question

i recommend neither oof them. if u must, pick the HP as Maziar recommended. Otherwise if u are not limited to those three i recommend a lenovo y450 or y550p, macbook, or a VAIO CW as i have experienced all of them and they are fantastic student laptops.

the HP seems a little bulky for a student in my point ofview... VERY bulky.
