What is your budget for the receiver?...I also recommend posting/moving this to the Audio-Forum section.

There are receivers below $100 and over $5000...

Yeah, if I understand you correctly, many receivers have a feature for audio delay to compensate for varying acoustics and distances, often time they are automatically set up during Auto-Setup made by a special microphone. $2000 is a good budget, are there any specific requirements you have for it?...such as weight, brand, features?

I think a good receiver will do everything you need really. Brands I recommend looking into are:

-Marantz
-Denon
-Pioneer
-Harmon Kardon
-Yamaha

^Those are just some of the many good brands out there. If I had a 2000 budget, I would look into these receivers:

http://us.marantz.com/us/Products/Pages/ProductDetails....

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Home/AV-Receiver...

http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/aventage/rx...

^Those are a few I would look into, look for good deals basically.
