I have a computer at home, it is a 1ghz Athlon with 256mb PC2100. Load times are slow in programs and was wondering what would speed up the load times the best, another 256mb of Ram or buying a Athlon XP 2000+ (the board will support up to 2200+) which one will incease performance the best overall, thanks.

extra memory would probably help right now

Ummm... have you checked your IDE controllers and Disk drives to be sure the DMA is enabled?
