CD/DVD Rom keeps going missing

Hey brett just something I noticed but you seem to post 1 sentence answers a lot and tend to drag out solutions. 'sup with that?

Anywho, ADSL it could be a variety of things. Is it seen in your bios? Is it sata or IDE? if its IDE are the jumpers set correctly? Have you tried using different cable or a different port? Do you have any idea as to what seems to be causing this? what are you doing in between the disconnects and reconnects?

The reason I post one liners like SPECS (as an example) is to get around the stupidity of posters who THINK we are psychic, and as a psychic we KNOW that its either a laptop or pc....and its specs etc....

In this particular question there are different reasons why a Laptop cd drive and a PC cd drive go missing....

Also I have a limited amount of time here to help people and do NOT have the time to write paragraphs of information GUESSING what they have....
