Is Barton "unlocked"

I've got an XP1600+ now and it is locked from the factory with a 10.5X FSB multiplier. I'd like to upgrade to the XP2500+ but I want to OC it. Is it also locked from the factory?

Also, if did go through the trouble of unlocking my XP1600+, how high would I be able to OC it with a Volcano 7 HSF?

Can't speak for the Barton, but I've got an unlocked Thoroughbred.

Yes it is - I have one and im running it on a 12.5x as max multiplier. Default is 11x 166. Mine went to 12.5 x 166 no prob and its running at 12.5x177 right now 6hr (P95 + 3DMark01SE) stable.

What kind of heatsink/fan setup do you use? What's your 3DMark2001SE standard setup score? We have very similar rigs...R9700PRO YEAH!!!
