More about intel 3ghz 1year warranty
  1. yeeez who cares?
Most of the ppl in this board don´t, since they overclock their cpu´s and spit on the warranty. However, it might just be a typo or Intel plans to destroy every system with a P4 3.0Ghz in exactly 1 year... latter was a joke ;D

  3. hehe.. I've used the warranty plenty of times when the heatsink.. ahem.. mysteriously breaks ;)

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!
  4. Hm... I´ve seen 3-year warranties in many entries for both processors on pricewatch. Maybe it´s just a typo, then...
  5. Meph it could also be a typo on all the other pages *scares everyone*.

Oh well, after my first TBird 1.4 Fan got roasted (I´m still using the same cpu that roasted the fan/till may:))
I also tried to get a new cpu, I took the roasted fan and an old Athlon 600Mhz(?) that I´ve toasted earlier, and brough it to the shop, even tho they didn´t realize that the cpu was different they told me that this cheap noname made in Taiwan Fan is able to cool processors till 1.5Ghz and told me that I must´ve had overclocked the cpu :D ...
note: they had this toasted athlon 600Mhz a whole day and didn´t realize that it wasnt a Tbird 1.4 ...

Oh well, nothing goes over warranty ...
