i found this REALLY crazy cpu benchmark, well, its not really a benchmark. there is a benchmark, and its ok, but the best one is "Still sucking (Nature)", which is at the bottom of the page, its 12mb, i STRONGLY suggest you take a look, as it is incredible! Beware though, if you are sub 2ghz p4 or low model athlon, dont even bother.
This sucker is intense!
It uses realtime raytracing, and is pretty damn impressive.
if ur comp is good, run it at 640x480, and dont bother messing with the config file, it dosnt save anything.
if you download the benchmark turn on shadows and reflections and AA and run it at 640, at these settings i got 14fps avg. not ocd 2700+ 512 dual channel ddr333.
ill mess with these more extensively and post a list of benchmark scores.
oh, and even if you have an Athlon XP, on the "Still suxx (nature)" one, use the "Pentium 4" mode (default).
i think it just enables sse or mmx or something that maybe k6s or p2s didnt have, but it seems to run faster on my XP.
DEFINATELY DOWNLOAD IT IT IS AWESOME!

Trust me, you definately want to check this out.
even if youre on 56k, this 12mb download is one thing you wont regret... unless you have like a 1ghz or less cpu, then you will cry and want to upgrade even more hell, this would make anyone want to upgrade!
lol phial, you could try it i guess.
the benchmark at 320xXXX without any extras on u might get 5fps, but hey, you wouldnt even be seeing the point of the demo which is the amazing lighting and shadows.
It was ok, ran about 10FPS on my XP1600+ at 640*480, with the P4 optimizations on.
I wasn't entirely impressed though, CPU rendering is just ugly, it shows too much left-over from nom-filtered textures (no bilinear filtering most of the time), lots of aliasing and blurry polygons.
