Epson stylus color 640 paper feed

I moved my epson 640 to new computer with windows 7 software and the paper feeds down 3 inches and stops. Moved printer back to original computer with windows xp and the paper feeds down only 3 inches and stops. worked perfectly before move. Is it a changed setting in the software of windows 7, or a mechanical problem which I could fix????
