Modding an XP into an MP

Does anyone know how to mod an Athlon XP into an MP so that it is dual capable? I've heard you connect L5 and that's all you need to do. Is this true, has anyone had any experience doing this, and is it even necessary?

As far as I was aware, they don't need any mods. Although I'm not an expert in dualie stuff, so maybe someone can back me up here?

Some ran in dual mode from the factory, others required bridges to be closed. I won't look up the bridge number, but if you say it's L5 I'll take your word for it and tell you, if it don't work without mods, connect the bridges.
