Nforce2 board.

Ok well my 2500+ Barton was working then I tried to put on an SK800 heatsink which fits crappily, sometimes leaning on the die. I had no clue there were pads that came with the SK800, so I messed up trying to put it on.

Turned the computer on and the dbracket ALMOST showed "bad cpu" led's. But one of the lights was dim or, weird looking.

Put in 2600+ which I KNOW is bad, got a clear view "bad cpu" led from the dbracket.

Put in 2400+ which i KNOW is GOOD, and everything booted up fine.

So is my 2500+ Barton probably dead, even though the led didnt CLEARLY show dead cpu, but also since the 2400 booted just fine...

thasts how i killed my first xp2000, HSF install... I think its dead... (be glad the board still works, mine didnt... grumble grumble... lucky git... mutter mutter mutter... ;-) )

Hmmm, wonder if I can get a valid page fault ???
these invalid ones are far too commonplace...
