Will boot only in safe mode

Hello,
Old psu went bad, replaced with new one, screwed up the cpu when I cleaned the cooler. (Came out reinserted incorrectly, fried it.) Installed new cpu, will boot in safe mode, but not in normal windows. Checked and new processor was picked up by motherboard. Tried to repair windows installation, but still will not boot up. Suggestions?

Reload the OS. Hopefully you didn't bend any pins on the cpu socket when you incorrectly put the cpu in the socket.

Would it still boot up in safe mode if I had?

Yes depending on which pins were bent there is a chance that the Pc would still boot but there would be serious problems and it would only be if one or two were bent. How ever it would be a god idea to at least try to reload the OS before removing the cpu to look for bent pins.
