Greetings all! I was wondering if someone could please break down the basic differences between an Athlon MP and XP? Which one is perferable?

From what I understand, they both use the same cores and logics but the MP's have been tested and are guaranteed to work in multiple processor environments where the XP is not.

The XP's have also been proven to work in multiple processor mode which is strange because the MP's can cost 30% more than XP's.

The CPU`s are identicle. Only difference is that the MP has been tested and proven to work properly in multiple CPU systems. About 80% of the XP`s CPU`s will work as MP`s if you connect one of the birdges but you have about 20% that wont work. All CPU`s by AMD are made as XP`s and they just pick the ones that are guartanteed to work as MP and label them as such.
